Our Red Cross Red Crescent Movement has been bolstering its humanitarian mandate in response to the rapidly increasing number of COVID-19 cases across the Americas, and the world. We remain focused and agile in order to adequately respond to the needs of people throughout our Region whilst protecting our volunteers who are at the frontline.

 

This COVID-19 Toolbox has been created to ensure that information and key resources on this global pandemic are easily accessible, downloadable and shareable with links to key several platforms and repositories.

KEY PLATFORMS TO VISIT

SOKONI

This global IFRC site includes discussion forums on issues related to COVID-19 moderated by experts in the different thematic areas; links to access and share documents and lessons learned; as well as a world map where volunteers and NSs can share their activities in real time.

VODPLA

The Volunteering Development Platform (VODPLA) is a direct response to the requests, requirements and needs of the national Red Cross Societies in America. It is an initiative carried out by the Regional Unit of Volunteering and Youth Development and has been elaborated considering the results of the annual base line studies and the analysis of volunteering and youth in the Americas.

Integrated Information Management System (IMII)

This website encompasses dashboards and other data visualization to highlight trends and results to inform decision making.

IFRC LEARNING PLATFORM

This is the official e-learning Platform which offers hundreds of self-paced courses developed by the IFRC and external partners on scores of thematic topics.

IFRC GO

This is an online platform for emergency monitoring and response tracking. It combines real-time field information with secondary data and available response capacity information.

SALUD CRUZ ROJA

This website serves as the primary repository for documentation created and managed by the Health Department at the IFRC Americas Regional Office.

AMERICAS RED CROSS CAMPUS

This Americas learning platform offers both facilitated and self-paced e-learning courses coordinated by Regional Reference Centres, technical departments and others.

CREPD

This IFRC Reference Centre for Institutional Disaster Preparedness is hosted by the El Salvador Red Cross and was established 15 years ago. It is ISO 9001 certified and acts as source of information and training for the Red cross in the area of institutional readiness for disaster response.

FedNet

FedNet is the extranet of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (Federation), a platform where we can work, collaborate, communicate and inform about the activities of the Federation, its member National Societies and the Secretariat.

GDPC

The Global Disaster Preparedness Center, hosted by the American Red Cross, is an international reference center created to build a global community for disaster preparedness innovation and learning.

SOLFERINO ACADEMY

This aims to challenge and inspire the way people work, think, act and connect. It supports the IFRC network in transforming to be more fit for future and capable of thriving through the complex and dynamic changes occurring throughout the world in order to more effectively meet the humanitarian and development challenges.
